Living and Coping with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder

Having had post-traumatic stress disorder, almost all of my life, I understand the pain and frustration, with the unexpected way shows that they live. My learned ways to cope, a diary with affirmations, positive self-talk and other helpful techniques. There are many treatment options for anyone troubled by PTSD. Each case is unique, so make sure to work with a therapist that you trust to see what the best cures forThem. Here are some of my thoughts on the state control after years of work.

Work to identify if you are concerned about PTSD

By understanding how PTSD manifests, you can learn to recognize whenever an episode cultures. Know what is going on is the first step to getting over the situation. Wake up in the middle of the night with a bad dream? Are you vigilant about everything? Do you have an overreaction to situations that do not make the effort any different? There are manyOpportunities to experience PTSD. It is easy to think we're crazy inside, but we're not. Our responses tell us that something is disrupted, and our bodies in extreme to protect themselves, "overdrive" mode. Ask yourself, what situation do you want? Why do you feel uncomfortable? Identify your triggers.

When training for a promotion in my company, I was feeling during the class flipped out sometimes. A friend of mine who knows psychology, told me: "My PTSD isThey cause stress. "He was right. It was a relief to know that I'm not going crazy. I was very nervous, because to them out of my normal comfort zone. My body was tense, and I was very nervous about making mistakes. Even if mistakes are part of learning, my inner thoughts about my work were merciless and harsh. With the knowledge that my body ready reactive than I was then able to be with her and stressed by my work.

Remove Emotion and calm your mind

When the emotionoverwhelmed, stop and think about what happened. It takes practice to recognize when PTSD is flaring up. For me it is a feeling of momentary panic in high-stress situations, such as taking a test or training for a new job. When out of my comfort zone, all hell is going to break in myself. To counter this development, I have learned to observe the response, then think of a rational response to my irrational or troublesome thoughts. Instead of thinking about "I can not this test," is the new thought, "I would give,it my best, and if I do not, I'll take it easy again. "It's still hard for me to do, but it gets easier with practice. When I am in a position to negativity, quiet and one to the theme of what it is, is not ruling my emotions more manageable.

Do not be until the post-traumatic stress disorder

Having PTSD is more violent and disturbing situations on witnesses. The best way is to deal with their symptoms, learn as much as possible about the condition andHelp yourself by working through them with a qualified therapist. He or she can help you find ways to cope with unpleasant symptoms such as night sweats, flashbacks of violent acts and others with cognitive therapy, for example.
