Operation Welcome Home: Hurricane Ike Disaster Recovery

61-year-old Lawrence Bell, whose home was severely damaged during Ike, the key will receive their newly renovated house in the neighborhood centers southeast of Houston as part of Operation Welcome Home. Mrs. Bell had extensive structural damage caused by Hurricane "Ike" and basically had to be gutted and restored. The scope of work and repairs included a new roof, new kitchen and appliances, bathroom and living room furniture, flooring, drywall, electrical work and repair of pipelines.Since the initial gutting of the home of Mrs. Bell in November, they lived in a hotel.
