There are several ways to reverse the aging process or at least slow it down to a crawl. One of the ways to do this is to turn on your "Sirtuins". Sirtuins who? Sirtuins are a family of genes know as silent information regulator proteins. New research uncovered this gene that can increase life-spans dramatically, in fact up to 100% in one study. All living things carry it including humans. The best thing about it is certain foods can activate it or turn it on.
This "longevity gene" first was discovered about 20 years ago. Researchers found if you starve mice, and then give them a nutritionally balanced diet with very few calories, their life-spans increased dramatically. Later studies showed this was not limited to mice alone but single cell organisms to plants an animals.
The genes causing this mysterious action are sirtuins. Sirtuins kick in under conditions of severe stress. They transmit signals to every cell in your body that literally cancel out the effects of aging. The processes leading to cell death slows to a crawl, buying your body more time. However, since your body is being attacked in other ways like oxidation from an over acidic internal body environment you will never see the slowing of aging.
Now your probably saying to yourself, "I'm going to have to starve myself to live longer!" The answer to that is "NO", your not going to have to starve yourself. In fact, it's not as painful as you may think! It does require a slight change in your nutritional uptake ie. the types of foods and drinks you place into your body.
